This section describes the process of ranking up. It also describes the ANBU and Kage features.
Jounin and Special Jounin can take Genin under their wings to teach them what they know. The sensei feature has no effect on game-play. When you're searching for your new teacher, we recommend you start by asking around in your local tavern. It's also recommended that your sensei use the same offensive style so s/he can teach you what s/he knows and you can really use the advice.
Congratulations! You have ranked up to Jounin, an elite ninja. You now are able to pass on your knowledge by taking in Genin students!
Congratulations! You are now in the highest ranking ninja of the game! All features of gameplay are now available to you.
1-10: 300 HP, 40 C/S
11-20: 450 HP, 100 C/S
21-30: 900 HP, 500 C/S
“ANBU” is short for “Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai” (Special Assassination and Tactical Squad). In TNR, ANBU squads are created and controlled by the kage, though the squad leader runs the actual squad.
The Kage creates the squad name and orders, and appoints a leader. (Usually, the kage will allow the leader to choose the name and orders.) The squad's leader will then draft members. Members are automatically put into the squad if a leader recruits them, and can then resign from the squad if they so choose. If you do not want to be accidentally brought into a squad, change your Preferences to not allowing an ANBU.
ANBU squads status are viewable through the town hall. Defensive points from an ANBU are received while the squad member is in the village, while Offensive Points are earned while the members is out of the village.
Note: The Kage of the village may have requirements for making or maintaining a squad.
Members and leaders of an ANBU squad receive an achievements badge in the form of an ANBU mask on their Public Profile.
Former members or leaders of an ANBU squad receive an achievements badge in the form of a broken ANBU mask on their Public Profile.
The kage is the ultimate leader of a village, and is usually respected and often asked for help. Kage run the village and make executive decisions, especially concerning village funds. The title of kage is an important and often stressful job. Be sure you're up for handling not only your village, but your villagers.
You can become the kage by beating the current kage in battle.
After you've become a jounin or higher rank, you can go to your village's town hall and click “Check Kage”. You'll now find a link to challenge the kage. Click it and you'll be put into battle against the village's kage. Win, and the title is yours.
You can only challenge the kage if s/he is out of the village or is asleep. Some kage sleep for vast amounts of time in order to avoid challenges; this is called “kage holding” and is highly disrespected, even bannable.
Kage have the ability to:
When a user resigns from the kage position, the position is taken over by an AI kage that shares the name of its village. AI kage do not claim regeneration or manage ANBU.
