Name: Rock Whip

Rank: C

Type: Ninjutsu

Fighting Style: Physical

Range: Medium

Element: Doton (Earth)

Village Origin: Rikuhi

Description: The user forms the snake handseal, then holds one arm out forward, palm facing out as a whip made out of rocks and stones comes forth from his palm(Akin to doing a set of handseals). This whip is resistant to strikes by melee(physical and weapon attacks) and ranged metal weaponry(ex: Kunai or Swords). It would take a decent number of strikes to actually 'break' the whip. This whip is able to hold the user's weight if tied to something, but for a very limited amount of time(one post). The whip is held together via chakra. The length of the whip is determined by the amount of chakra used to create the whip. (The actual chakra cost is increased only in extreme situations, such as 100-foot whips, for example.) The whip cannot be increased or decreased in length once it is created.

Creator: Takashi clan (Takashi, Shin's monthly submission, of course)

Training Time: 6 days

Description: ... The whip is held together via chakra.

Looks good. ^^ Just one question. o.O You say it's held together by Chakra, does that mean you pay a Chakra cost each post it's out? Ie, 1 D-Ranked or something along those lines.

I doubt it, but eh. Figured I'd ask. o-o;

So this is basically a variation on Mokuton: Toba no Fuku, yes?

Is this version any more durable than that?

@Garzett: Nope. It's just the one-time cost that is needed to use the jutsu in the first place.

@Oirarana: Yup. Doton version, if you will.

I have yet to see Mokuton: Toba no Fuku used, but I would have to say that this is slightly more durable.

*ponders* Length?

Erm...as long as Thorn Whip? If needed, I can put a limit on this one.

I personally think it doesn't need a length specified since it is word for word a doton variation of a global jutsu.

However, in order to make things a bit cleaner and easier, I would suggest indicating the length of the whip is determined by the amount of chakra used to create it. (So less chakra = shorter whip, more chakra = longer whip)

Hmm...that brings up a question of my own then. If I wanted to make a whip that was quite large, would that require more than 1 C-rank of chakra? IE: 2 C-ranks, and so on and so forth. Or would the change in chakra required be miniscule enough to not warrant that?

The same applies for shorter whips. (I would personally rather have it as "whip is xx length long", though I suppose I would need to know the length of Thorn Whip then, heh)

I'd personally say it doesn't require a significant amount difference, unless you go for something significantly different (like a 100 foot whip or a doll sized one)

I see....fair enough. I'll just throw in a little note, then.

You have just earned yourself a 1/6th stamp, kind-sir.

As do I.

Mostly. Just the name thing, I don't think fuku means whip...then again, I don't speak japanese. (When I ran whip through my translator, I got kei, kakuhan, and hoippu)

I'll just leave that bit out...i'm horrible at translating into languages I don't know.
