Opinions on Wii

Speaking from experience the wii controller can be used like a regular controller depending on the game, Super Smash Brothers and Lego Starwars to name a couple...no shaking required. Guitar Hero too. :)

As far as online play goes it seems to not matter what console I use, because almost every time I play a "10-year old video game prodigy" kicks my ass a few times and I get bored.

Graphics? I grew up on an old school Nintendo console for years before bothering to upgrade. Xbox and PS also have too many buttons(took me over a week of playing to memorized the controls for the Madden games).

So basically, I prefer the wii because it has the fewest buttons and a lot of its games are 2D(ish). Simplicity for the win.

For those of you that say its fail obviously are too concerned on graphics and controllers.

You do know that you can use the game cube controller as well as a classic one. The wii is one of the best since it lets you download and play the old games from the old and very first systems. I don't play wii games for games that are on all consoles because those games tend to suck anyways. The motion has improved with the motion plus sensors they have added and the games fit for the consoles are done awesomely and flawlessly.

I say true gamers would get used to trying new controllers or even casual gamers for that matter. Some people are closed minded in trying something out of the ordinary. The only system I see fail is xbox on how it breaks down with the red rings, out of all systems that is the worst. Ps3 has only had problems with overheating but not as bad and wii no problems at all.

i think the real problem is xbox so lets all jump on that lol jk. But in all seriousness, no one console is the best so this thread is kinda pointless and is more on trying to hating on something that you aren't used to. I have all three systems and they all have their faults and good qualities like afro said.
