Synopsis:

Bleach the World is an AU Bleach Roleplay, set in modern day (it's currently 2012 in the roleplay) with a big twist. Many of the world's more ancient beings are still in their infancy. Soul Society officially got it's construction and assembly 2000 years ago and was established on the backs of four houses; Izanagi, Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu, and Sunsano'o. These houses contributed various things such as weapons, law and order, culture and arts, etc. During this time Soul society experimented with artificial souls, immortality and more, producing Mod Souls and Bounts respectively. They came into agreement with Kushinada not to interfere in the goings of Hell. Central 46 was formed in order to rule over Soul Society in absence of the King, whom acts more like a figurehead. Soul Society has discovered the results of giving their power to a human and has forbidden it, however they do not know about Hollowfication or how to do it. Thus the term "Visored" and "Arrancar" are but strange whisperings in the Black Market.

Our story began three years ago in a time of relative peace. Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, the Human World, and Hell were operating in good condition, however there was rumblings within. In Soul Society, those in power sought to change the direction of Soul Society, scheming a plan so big that it would ripple among the other realms. The Four Noble Houses have long had hidden strife. Each house has been competing for power over Soul Society and Izanagi had long since held power, instating reign by giving birth to the second Captain Commander. The House of the Moon not wanting to lose to Izanagi formed the second branch of military, Onmitsukido. The purpose of Onmitsukido was to essentially act as secret agents in Seireitei; watching the movements of Gotei 13 and other residents. Being newer than Tsukiyomi and Izanagi, Amaterasu didn't form the Kido Corps but instead backed it. Their former heir was the Vice Captain of the Kido Corps. This left Susano'o with nothing, so many tried to join the different military and failing that; focused on other aspects of life, such as teaching in the Shino Academy or forming businesses.

Regardless Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu were not pleased with the status quo. They would team up together in order to take power from the Gotei 13 and Izanagi house, in order to bring power to their own houses. To do this, they bribed many people in power; from businesses, to government, even Academy teachers were indebted to them. However their influence reached further; Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu had ties to exiled beings as well as criminal families in Rukongai. With preparations done, their plans would come into motion on All Hallows Eve. During All Hallows Eve, the balance of souls goes into a huge fluctuation. New Souls enter the system throwing off the balance, while souls shift in large numbers between Soul Society, the World of the living, Hell, and even Hueco Mundo. The phenomenon causes a sensation in the Human World known as the Spirit Trail. Only on All Hallows Eve can does this trial of souls become visible as they're reborn from Soul Society.

In Soul Society itself, large amounts of new comers come into Rukongai and this causes confusion and panic. In the midst of this, a woman in Rukongai is killed which triggers riots. The Riots had distracted the Gotei 13. The Gotei 13 had split its forces between Soul Society and Earth. There were graduation exams being conducted on Earth which had gone astray. They needed to send an advanced squad to find the graduating classes but they were never found. Instead the advanced squad was mostly lost. This prompted an investigation to be opened. However the exiled had made their moves on Earth, stealing these graduates and turning them into rogues. They had then made moves in Hueco Mundo in order to add exiled Hollows into their ranks. Having shaken up Hueco Mundo, it was decreed illegal for a Hollow to remove their mask.

Back in the World of the living, another taboo had occurred; the advanced squad sent to find the missing Academy students, made contact with the Quincy. For centuries Soul Society had been at war with Quincy. They had figured to wipe out the majority of them, but a branch in Japan had survived; while the headquarters rebuilt as an ordinary Catholic Church, concealing their Quincy roots. Contact with the Quincy did not turn into a war, rather the Shinigami had joined forces with the Quincy in an effort to protect innocent humans. However, one Shinigami went too far with this pact; giving his powers to one of the Quincy. This was the first time a Quincy had gained Shinigami powers and the first substitute to appear in generations. A second substitute was made by another member of that squad the same day.

That wasn't all that happened on Earth, at The Candy Shop a group of spiritually aware humans congregated together in order to protect the souls and humans alike. One Human by the name of Jonathon Joestar had ripped off the mask of his antagonist, which increased the power of the Hollow by a good magnitude. It soon returned along with his Hollow brethren; one of which was a Menos Grande. Before the Royal Guard could show up the Menos had left; it's attack being blocked by one of the guests of the Candy Shop. Further out Shinigami were on scene in an abandoned part of town. The Spirit Trail visible to them, it attracted a powerful Hollow whom was a Knight in the King's court. This Hollow had found a a Plus whom was willing to become a Hollow. Chosing to assist the Plus in its desires, the Plus soon went under forced Hollowfication; consuming souls from the Spirit Trail at a rapid pace. Once it had consumed a vast amount, it set its sight on a Shinigami whom attempted to purify the soul.

This soul would kill and absorb the Shinigami, only to lose it's consciousness to that same Shinigami later. In this twisted process, another Shinigami was caught up in the fray, resulting in the first Hollowfication of a Shinigami in generations. Of the two Shinigami, only one is in custody of Soul Society; the other is missing. When these Shinigami returned to Soul Society; the riots of Rukongai were calmed but there was a bigger discovery to be had. The Vice Captains and Captains of the Gotei 13 had been killed! This investigation became interwined with other investigations which flushed out the culprits as Vice Captain Miyaki Iwata (whom did all the killing), Kageroza Ichitaka (whom was an accomplice), and Kondo Iemitsu whom manipulated them both while not taking part in their schemes. It was a dark day in Soul Society; which had been caught in the feud of the Noble Houses and the man whom sought to end that feud for his own desires.

As those events came to a close another chapter was beginning in Hueco Mundo. Whispers of Rebellion were in the air in Hueco Mundo. This had put the Royal Hollow family on edge. The King whom had been keeping tabs on the exiled for as long as he could remember, decided he needed to change the way his Kingdom operated. He went out into the deserts and did his own investigation before meeting two very interesting beings in Hueco Mundo. With new "allies", Hueco Mundo was set to change inside the Palace Walls. In Hell the influx of new sinners meant that the Kushinada's hands were quite busy. They had made a pact with one Sinner, to act as Warden, but they would need more of these makeshift Police to keep the Sinners in check. It would seem that some cunning Sinners had figured out how to escape the Kushinada's all-seeing gaze. Thus the Kushinada would contemplate how to prevent the balance from being disrupted, while expanding their little "Police".

As for Soul Society, Central 46 had contacted the Spirit King via the Royal Guard. When the King heard of what had happened, he sent the Royal Guard out into Seireitei to assist Central 46 with the day to day operations. They would train those whom participated in the Trial to take over their Divisions as Seated Officers, though many of the Divisions remained very crippled in operation. The new question on everyone's mind was..."Who was the King" and "Why haven't I seen him with Soul Society in such a crisis?" Precisely who is the King and where is the Royal Palace? It seems that the secret to this died with Izanagi Arata. Lastly, the world of the living was changing too. The location of the jūreichi was in flux until it settled upon a location in North America. The new change has been awakening the powers of Humans in this continent; along with strange happenings.

If you've RPed at BtW before, it's been restarted and if you still have an account there, you'll be given bonus start xp. If not, then rest assured that the bonus xp isn't too much and that newcomers will be able to catch up quickly. There are still some kinks that we're working on, but you can play any of the spirit races that have been introduced in the Manga or the Anime.

This is not Canon so we don't have any Canon characters.
