January 5th, 2012: Bonus Slots!

This was announced earlier, but its own thread was never made. The Staff has gotten together to implement some new additions for the lower ranks. We feel as though older members in the same rank should have an edge against newer members due to their veteran experience. This update has also been implemented to promote growth within your own rank. A few tweaks have also been made to the existing Monthly slots, encouraging sticking with your character over replacing them. And so, we bring to Seichi this new addition. We hope you enjoy it!

Bonus Slot Rules

This is applicable to ranks Genin through Jounin. Provided that they have no empty slots and all jutsu are fully trained (including the genin basics), they get one new jutsu equal or lower to their rank every 3 months. If the chosen jutsu was equal rank, they cannot take an equal rank jutsu the following third month. If the chosen jutsu was Kinjutsu, they cannot take a Kinjutsu the following third month. 1 month must have passed since you met your ranks time requirements and fully trained your jutsu slots in order to be eligible. The first bonus slot you take for any given rank must be Rank-1 or lower. The time requirement for bonus slots is reset on brand new or replacement characters. Bonus slots do not carry over upon RPC death or creating a new character.

To help prevent confusion with regular slots and track these new additions, all bonus jutsu are required to either have their own private section added to the profile or a note indicating they are bonus specific. All acquisitions stating that you are obtaining a bonus jutsu must have a note indicating that it is bonus specific. Please keep in mind that bonus slots are a privilege and not a right.

Monthly Slot Rules

This is applicable to Elite Jounin or S-ranked Missing Ninja. Provided that they have no empty slots and all jutsu are fully trained, they may obtain a new technique every so often. They may opt to take any jutsu, from E to S-rank. Once they do so, they must wait a certain number of months, as indicated below, before obtaining a new 'monthly'. One may obtain a slotted item in place of a jutsu, but those follow the same rules.

E/D/C - 1 month
B - 2 months
A/S - 3 months

* If you take an S-rank, you may not take an S or A-rank the following EJ Learning.
* You may chose up to two E/D-rank slots instead of one C if you choose E/D.
* You may not take 2 Kinjutsu in a row.

You may only retain bonus and monthly slots if the RPC is at least Elite Jounin and has existed for at least 6 OOC months. If the character dies or is replaced before that period, you may not retain bonus or monthly slots.

* These rules are subject to change, especially if this privilege is abused. Anyone attempting to abuse this will have to deal with the Mod Staff as a whole. If we find you to be acting in a way that causes us to question whether or not you are deserving of this privilege, we will appeal to the side of strictness and deny any jutsu training acceptance.
