Shiro: Four Bodies Found — The Nameless Thorn Calls for Followers

The hunt for the Crimson Reckoning has taken a disturbing turn.

Four bodies believed to belong to Kaizen Arakuro, Mira Kagetsu, Daigo Muren, and Sorin Vey have been recovered across Sechi.

Each had been the subject of an active Global ANBU manhunt following a string of killings stretching from town to town and village to village.

But the circumstances surrounding their deaths have raised more questions than answers.

I was able to reach the locations before the remains and surrounding evidence were completely removed.

What I found there was not simply the aftermath of four battles.

Each member of the Crimson Reckoning had left something behind.

Their NINDOs.

Their stories.

Their accusations.

Kaizen wrote of his family, the destruction of the Arakuro name, and the younger brother reduced to nothing more than Subject 14.

Mira left the names of children sent into battle by commanders who later pretended those missions had never existed.

Daigo wrote of fugitives he had hunted, only to discover that many were victims fleeing experiments and crimes committed by their own villages.

Sorin told the story of a quarantine district sacrificed by those who decided soldiers were more valuable than civilians.

Four criminals.

Four killers.

But also four stories the shinobi world had apparently tried very hard to bury.

At the end of each NINDO was a fragment of a message.

Together, they pointed toward one place.

That is where I found the fifth member.

Nyra Shinkai — The Nameless Thorn

Nyra did not run.

She was waiting.

For anyone who has followed the Global ANBU reports, Nyra is perhaps the strangest member of the Crimson Reckoning. While the others received threat classifications, her record remained marked:

CLASSIFICATION PENDING.

I now understand why.

Nyra told me of the Shinkai Clan, a family allegedly slaughtered after refusing to surrender its bloodline secrets.

She told me of Eclipse and Aegis, two sisters taken by a cult known as the Unbroken Thread and used in experiments beneath the mountains.

She told me how those sisters died.

And how their power survived through her.

But that was not the most troubling part of our meeting.

Nyra knew the four nindos had been found.

In fact, she expected them to be read.

According to her, the stories were never merely confessions.

They were invitations.

Nyra believes that thousands across Sechi have suffered the same fate as the Crimson Reckoning.

Families erased.

Children used as weapons.

Shinobi discarded when they became inconvenient.

Victims ordered to remain silent while those responsible continued to govern from behind walls and titles.

And now she is calling to them.

Her message was simple:

“If you read their stories and saw yourself in them, then you already understand us.”

Nyra says the Crimson Reckoning was never meant to end with five people.

She has invited anyone who believes the shinobi world abandoned them, erased them, or used them to join her.

She does not call it rebellion.

She calls it remembrance.

She claims the world survives because victims are isolated from one another—each convinced that what happened to them was unique, shameful, or better left forgotten.

Her intention is to change that.

Whether this becomes a movement, an outlaw army, or something far worse remains unknown.

But one thing is certain.

The deaths of Kaizen, Mira, Daigo, and Sorin have not ended the Crimson Reckoning.

Their NINDOs are already spreading.

Their stories are being copied.

People are reading them.

And somewhere in Sechi, those who recognize themselves within those words may already be answering Nyra's call.

The Global ANBU believed it was hunting five outlaws.

It may have instead created four martyrs.

And Nyra Shinkai intends to make sure the world remembers every one of them.
