A new patch has been released introducing item leveling, item evolution, and several progression and imbuement improvements.
Item Leveling & Progression
- Items can now have their own
independent levels, using the existing jutsu leveling framework where applicable.
- Items can now
evolve, following the existing jutsu evolution system where applicable.
- Item power scaling will now scale based on the
item's current level.
- Items can currently only gain experience through
PvP battles.
- Item levels are now displayed in both the
Inventory and
Home Storage.
- Added a new
Item Experience Multiplier.
- Fixed an issue with the
Jutsu Experience Multiplier.
- As item scaling continues to be applied, players may notice some
item tag values changing to properly reflect their new level-based scaling.
Item Evolution & Imbuements
- Added a warning when attempting to evolve an
imbued item into an item that does not support imbuements.
- Imbuements that have already been disabled for an item will no longer incorrectly load into battle.
- If an item's imbuements are disabled, players can now
return those imbuements to their inventory.
Market Opportunity
-
Item levels stay with the item when it is sold or traded.
- This means leveled items can carry their progression and value into the player market, opening up new opportunities for players who want to train, collect, sell, or trade higher-level equipment.
Events & Announcements
- A
2x Item EXP boost has been enabled for the next
4 days to help everyone get started with the new item leveling system.
- More patch notes covering
additional changes and updates will be coming
later today.
Staff Transparency Note
- As a surprise to staff as well, the item leveling system supports
custom experience requirements for individual items.
- Items are
not locked to 1,000 EXP per level like jutsu.
- This gives us additional flexibility to control progression requirements for different items as the system expands.
