Release Plans: Reset or Not to Reset

I’ll start this off by saying that we’ve completed about 99% of the features we want before release. But before we can move forward and share our release plans, we need to address the elephant in the room: Reset or not to Reset.

At the start of beta, we promised not to reset. Over the past year, a lot has changed — exploits, balance shifts, and the fact that when beta started, only 20% of the game’s features were actually in place. For those of you who were here from the beginning (thank you!), you didn’t get to experience the game in the way we intended.

So, as we plan toward release, we’re faced with two options: a Prestige System (voluntary reset) or a Global Soft Reset. Before anyone panics, no — we won’t ask you to grind another 6–12 months to get back to level 100. We’re already working on faster, more rewarding systems for Jutsu Training, Battle Arena, and Normal Training.

We’re also developing Village Stories, Main Stories, Raids, Dungeons, and Pyramids. Some will release before launch, while most will come after.

The Options

Prestige System (Voluntary Reset)

• Resets players to Level 25, Rank Chunin/Lower Outlaw.
• Elite Jonin benefits require Prestige to be active.
• You Keep: Ryo, Event Jutsu, Reputation, Bloodlines (current + swaps), Badges.

Prestige Benefits:

• Choose a Sage Mode upon Prestiging.
• Access to the Rank Elite Jonin.
• 1.5x Job EXP gain.
• Crafting time reduced by 5 minutes across all ranks.
• 2x EXP boost when below Level 90.
• Basic Move reduced to 10 AP.
• Elite Jonin level cap raised to 150 (no HP or stat increase, but milestone rewards along the way).

Global Soft Reset

• All players reset to Level 25.
• You Keep: Bloodlines, Event Jutsu, Badges, Reputation, 20,000,000 Ryo starting funds, and your Town House.
• Sage Mode will need to be earned normally.
