A new patch has been released with important fixes and gameplay adjustments.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue with the
PayPal transaction sync that could incorrectly award
referral bonuses when a player deleted their account and later recreated it using a different recruiter’s referral link.
- The system previously processed historical purchases from before the new account existed, which could grant the new recruiter retroactive referral rewards.
- Referral bonuses are now only generated for purchases that occur
after the player’s current account creation date, preventing retroactive reward exploits.
Game Adjustments
- Referral reward calculations have been updated to validate the
timeline of purchases and account creation before distributing bonuses.
- This ensures that recruiters only receive rewards for purchases made
while the referred account is active under their referral.
Staff Transparency Notes
- During investigation, staff identified
8 recruiter–player pairs affected by the issue.
- A total of
80 incorrect referral transactions were discovered, awarding
3,788 reputation points that were not legitimately earned.
Corrective actions taken:
Removed
80 invalid referral transaction records associated with the exploit.
Deleted the corresponding recruitment reward entries tied to those transactions.
Adjusted the reputation totals of the
8 affected recruiters to remove the improperly awarded reputation.
Safeguards were applied to ensure reputation balances could
not drop below zero during the correction process.
Developer Notes
- Additional validation has been implemented in the transaction sync process to ensure referral rewards only apply to purchases that occur
after the buyer’s current account creation date.
- Financial transaction records remain preserved for auditing purposes, even when accounts are deleted.
