This is worth reading for anyone who doesn't have an admins ear as your account is only as available to you as their mood is that day.

Just like many of you, with the release of beta, I jumped back in out of wanting to relive some of the good times I had in TNR as a kid. This game was great because the community was great. It allowed you to carve out your own path and fulfill what ever role you valued most whether it was being the ultimate raider, the ultimate healer, someone who threw fun events, provided you put in the effort and time, you could make it happen.

That brings us to where we are at today. Seeing just how out in the open all of the corruption is amongst some of the staff is pretty surprising and upsetting.

Some of the things I've seen in my short time playing.

- Utilizing jutsu refunding to send ryo to individuals of the community large amounts, then changing the mechanic when most people are made aware of it so that only the individuals they made aware of it can profit off of it.

- The disproportionate amount of effort they may put into attempting to ban some individuals of the community because they have fallen out of favor (I was banned because what I thought was a typo was them attempting to entrap someone in global chat. Careful saying anything there i guess as it might catch you a 120 day ban).

- The inability to take any amount of criticism or want to discuss how to potentially do things better. My ban was lifted but it threw off events I was putting on and my schedule outside of the game so I wanted to talk about better ways they might approach this going forward. I opened a ticket in the discord to have my ban investigated so that maybe this could be avoided in the future but that was closed by unknown with no comments. I then reached out in the general chat and my initial comments were deleted by an admin. Then I was threatened by an admin that i would be banned for a year if I continued. I wasn't being unrulely, this was just an obvious attempt to shutdown the conversation.

This is a very large issue with no way of reaching out to anyone higher than them. I was very invested in forming a fun community with events every week. I even threw in over 300 of my own money so that I could host fun things from the start. I won't support a game where all of my progress could be taken from me because I said the wrong thing to a person nor will support a game that gives individuals on their good side a disproportionate amount of resources as it completely upsets the balance between individuals who have put in effort to get what they have gotten vs what shouldn't matter at all in a healthy game (being close to admins).

Very sad to see this to be the state of things. I've since quit but I wanted to put this out as a warning for anyone that is playing the game who values the effort they put into their account. The reality of the situation is your one admins bad day away from losing all of your effort for not even breaking any rules.

I put this out as a warning. I hope things get better but I'm getting off the ride before any additional time is spent on something so fragile.

First let me respond by saying thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have some concerns and rebuttals to a few points though. I'll be as open as I can regarding this. First... The ryo/jutsu exp thing was not intended and was a huge oversight on our part. We wanted players to get something back from getting rid of a jutsu they no longer wanted and therefore, you get ryo back per level of the jutsu. What we failed to account for was that we also added jutsu level up by level. And people began exploiting this by leveling up jutsus through combat and AI and then refunding them for ryo. At first we limited it to jutsus of a certain level so that we could try and figure out a proper solution, but once the issue became public, we realized soon that it was a disaster waiting to happen and so we made the decision to get rid of ryo on refund all together. Its one of those first come, first serve kind of things. We cant do anything about that unfortunately.

I cannot speak on any bans, but what I do know is that no one on the moderation team is going after any player. I don't know what you did or said that caused that ban, so I unfortunately cannot opine on the issue. I am sorry that happened to you, though. Again, I am not a moderator so I cannot say anything about the ticket, I do know that bringing such things to public chats like general chat and such is a no-no. I am terribly sorry that happened to you, truly. And I'm sorry you feel targeted. I'm sure the staff and admins aren't trying to make you feel target.
