Why order of effects matters

Combat Tag Priority

Every round, TheNinja-RPG applies ground and user effects in a stable order. That order is why a shield can eat a hit that a later heal cannot save, and why a prevent might land before the buff it was meant to stop.

Below is the Order in Which Tags Operate:

// Prevents     "stealth",     "buffprevent",     "cleanseprevent",     "clearprevent",     "debuffprevent",     "fleeprevent",     "healprevent",     "moveprevent",     "onehitkillprevent",     "robprevent",     "sealprevent",     "stunprevent",     "summonprevent",     "weakness",
// Pre-modifiers       "elementalseal",     "injectjutsus",     "cleanse",     "clear",     "decreasepoolcost",     "decreasestat",     "increasepoolcost",     "increasestat",
// Mid-modifiers       "barrier",     "shield",     "finalstand",     "clone",     "redirection",     "damage",     "flee",     "heal",     "onehitkill",     "rob",     "seal",     "stun",     "summon",
// Post-moodifiers before pierce       "decreasedamagegiven",     "decreasedamagetaken",     "increasedamagegiven",     "increasedamagetaken",   // Piercing damage     "pierce",
// Post-modifiers after pierce       "lifesteal",     "drain",     "poison",     "afterburn",     "absorb",     "recoil",     "reflect",     "wound",     "decreaseheal",     "increaseheal",     "copy",     "mirror",

Frequently asked questions

Which Tags are Instant
Seal and Shield are Instant tags regardless of when they are used. When used first Seal is applied instantly when going first this basically grants you 3 rounds of bloodline seal.
Ground Effects are Instant
When a Jutsu is a ground effects and targets the ground the effects are instant. One of the most common Ground effect is Phantom step, this jutsus targets the ground meaning the effects are instant.
My Jutsu targets ground but it wasn't instant why
Some ground effects can be changed so that they aren't instant. If a Jutsu has target settings ground or empty ground but the effect is set to SELF and not INHERIT. It means that effect resolves the next round.
